Gabriel D.-Laperriere lives and works in Montreal as a composer and sound artist. He works with mixed media, instrumental composition, experimental film scores and sound installations involving photography, video or live crickets. He is now completing a doctoral program with professor Denys Bouliane at McGill’s Schulich School of Music. His research explores the notion of perceptual liminality and topology. He is a recipient of the Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarships. He’s been rewarded three times by the Canadian foundation SOCAN and won the first price absolute in the electroacoustic section of “Citta di Udine” for its piece Plier-Déplier.
