Arne Gieshoff’s works have been performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC SSO, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Ensemble intercontemporain. He was awarded the 2012 Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize, the 2014 Mendelssohn Scholarship, a European Music Author Scholarship (GEMA) and the 2015 H.W. Henze-Foundation Scholarship. He was Composer-in-Residence with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and Ensemble Oerknal in 2014/15. Arne completed his studies at the Royal College of Music London studying with Jonathan Cole, Simon Holt and Kenneth Hesketh and received further mentoring from composers such as Oliver Knussen, Dai Fujikura and Johannes Schöllhorn.
