The American composer Richard Beaudoin (b. 1975) teaches composition at Harvard University. He has developed of a new compositional approach based on micro-temporal measurements of recorded performances, in collaboration with Professor Olivier Senn of the Hochschule, Luzern. He has received commissions from the Konzerthaus Dortmund, Staatstheater Kassel, and the President of Harvard University. He has composed for the soprano Annette Dasch (who sings Elsa at Bayreuth), piano music for Mark Knoop, and his work has been performed at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Wiener Konzerthaus, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Brucknerhaus in Linz, the SWR Festspiele, and across the US and UK.
